Blacksmith3D-Morph

3D morphing application available as a part of Blacksmith3D-Suite.

Blacksmith3D-Morph v4 was designed to provide users with powerful tools to easily sculpt the finest details in their models. The new version is a lot of fun to use, and has been optimized to run much faster than any of the previous versions. It affords the freedom for artists to sculpt & deform any object as if working with clay.

The new sculpting tools are broken down into two separate classes - Chisels and Hammers - both of which uniquely work to achieve different results.

The Chisel tools are used like brushes, and enable you to deform your model by simply clicking and dragging across the surface. The applied strokes work to bulge, smooth, flatten, sharpen or contour details, depending on the chisel tool selected. For example, the Contour Chisel tool allows the artist to simply draw curves and the model's surface conforms to that shape.

The Hammer tools, on the other hand, have a slightly different workflow. They only act on a selected surface, and work to "heat up" and "deform" objects in a very intuitive way, utilizing hot selections (otherwise known as soft selections). The hotter portions of the object deform the most and the cooler parts deform the least. This allows for precise manipulation.

Together, these tools make Blacksmith3D-Morph v4 a massively powerful and intuitive morphing solution for professionals and hobbyist alike.

Create dozens of unique characters within a short time period by using the new powerful Chisel & Hammer tools. Use the hammers for large scale deformations, and the chisels to shape fine details.

Use the Touch-Up Chisel tools such Smooth, Smudge, Sharpen, and Flatten to sculpt out details, and get all of those distinctive curves that will make your model truly unique.

Use Post Smoothing when carving our general shapes, to ensure that the surface is smooth and tidy.

Quickly add details and curves using the Bulge Chisel tool. Bulge the surface outward, or dent the surface inward for more flexibility on the fly.

Create detail where it was previously not possible, by simply drawing a shape right on the surface of the model using the Contour Chisel tool. The geometry will simply conform to your brush stroke.

Carve out out the finest details by using the one-step chisel tools combined with additional options to give you more control and precision.

Create complex morphs by simply repeating two step process: select and deform. The selection tools are used to provide the heat while the hammers bend the object into shape.

Create more complex morphs by mixing and matching morph targets using the Morph Manager.

Utilize the standard move, rotate and scale hammers. When operating on soft selections, these tools allow you create 'anything but simple' morph targets.

Use Soft Selections to deform objects in a very intuitive way. The hotter portions of the object deform the most and the cooler parts deform the least. In this way, you can easily create smooth and continuous morphs, with little effort.
