- Smudge with Low Density -

  • Here we are going to touch up the rough spots left over from cloning a texture from reference images
  • Press the G key to turn off the lighting.
  • Choose the Touch-up Brush and the Smudge type.
  • Set Density to 20
  • Starting on one side of the problem area, click and drag over it repeatedly.
  • Do the same from the other side.
  • Repeat as necessary until the desired look has been achieved.
  • Notice how the resulting texture is gritty and natural
  • Notice that if we did not lower the density, the result would have been smooth, unnatural, and otherwise undesireable.
